About
My work is associated with with colour in paintings of nature’s dynamism, documenting my path through the landscape and to demand respect for nature through exploration of its inescapable beauty and untameable ferocity. I work predominantly with oils and charcoal using photos as source material. The photo is discarded after a couple of layers allowing the paint to dictate each colour and stroke as it responds to its adjacent. The painted object then overtakes the subject matter and my instinct completes the work.
