painting of swirling twin tornadoes on the horizon of a landscape in browns and purples

I’ve reworked Twin Tornado painting as I was happier with the feel of my drawing than this painting. The drawing flowed and the painting appeared static even though I had worked its surface the contrast wasn’t enough and the movement was lost.  It’s a relief to work in a looser style, although it isn’t always as successful or detailed I enjoy it more. So there.

This painting is taken from a iPhone video in Iowa taken last week where rare twin tornadoes appeared on the horizon as the viewer was driving along the road, which was eventually blocked by fallen trees and debris left in their wake. Reports say the tornado season in USA is coming earlier, they’re more frequent and stronger due climate change affecting the weather currents.
