A beautiful deciduous wood and its reflection in the still water of a pond, painted with a limited palette, the painting has a subdued and serene quality. Bacton woods is a large woodland in North Norfolk where I like to go and draw; it has a mixture of fir and deciduous trees panted in sweeping swathes with a network of paths. The pond is fairly central and is a good place to stop for a rest. I was inspired at one of these stops by the colours rich and warm reflected in the pond in muted versions.
Framed in a bespoke white painted floater frame, ready to hang.
