Fell Into The Heavens

A recent series of these skeletons have emerged, from working over unsuccessful paintings. Initially I made some drawings of the same ilk, coming from a deeply personal place, the skeletons are perhaps a marker of time, change, hidden depths, buried memories.
I find these paintings darkly humorous, both elements exist harmoniously in me too.
Painted in oil on a birch wood ply panel, unbraced, unframed.
