La Palma

I made La Palma from a photo of a news report which I took on my phone from the tv screen. The report was of the eruption of Cumbre Vieja ridge in the Canary Islands 2021. This way of collecting images is something I have been doing for several years now. I happen upon the images by chance while watching the news or scrolling on my phone but I am drawn to great natural events which are beyond our control; they have the effect of putting the world into perspective, setting my place in the schema of nature and cementing in my mind how we are it and it is us.
