Paradise Path II

Painted during lockdown 2020, this passageway leads to my house. Walking there regularly for my daily exercise made me look at it in a new light- the different times of day, different seasons, shadows and colours all inspired me to paint. I have made several artworks around the subject of this pathway.
It is a beautiful tree tunnel to begin with and then it runs alongside a wood where it gets dark and damp, and then it opens up onto a field. This painting was made about the dark part looking towards the field end. You can see the light hitting the fence at the end. My shadow falls across the fence to the right and tall trees rustle and blow in the wind above. Magical.
