Puddle Lane was inspired by a flood after the thaw which left large puddles in the country lanes around my home. The bare oaks, laden with ivy, are full of character and line the lanes alongside dogwood hedges. I studied the colours and decided to paint heightened versions of the colours before me; I was inspired but the sharp sunlit reflections in the flooded lane and all the colours of this particular winter day seemed so vivid. The lane is typical of country roads in Norfolk, flat, hedge lined and narrow, dotted by large old oak trees.
Framed in a white, painted floater frame, ready to hang. Posted carefully wrapped and boxed.
