A large limited edition print of my painting The Thinking Tree which measures 100 x 71 cm. At this size you get more than the actual painting which is slightly smaller than these measurements but the strong image lends itself to this kind of presentation.
The Thinking Tree was painted in 2021 specifically for an exhibition at Stanton Guildhouse and is of a tree in my local area which has anthropomorphic properties. I had wanted to paint it for sometime, as every winter the head shape created by the ivy become even more apparent and it always catches my eye. Since making the painting a large branch has fallen off during a storm so it no longer looks quite the same.
The original painting was scanned for this print so the level of detail is of the highest quality- every brushstroke is captured and the colour match is exact. The print is professionally printed on beautiful Hahnemuhle photo rag paper which has a very soft semi matt finish and is thick and durable.
Giclee defined is a high quality archival reproduction print of an original painting. It will not fade or diminish due to the printing process, quality of ink or process.
Posted loosely rolled in a tube which is the safest way to post large paper artworks.
