Oil on linen
75 x 50 cm
Another painting of a poignant memory of interactions with nature. We are so very lucky to live in the middle of the Norfolk Broads and the close proximity of the rivers and the beauty of the landscape is never under-appreciated.
This was a time when summers were spent mucking about in the River Bure where there is a beach like slip on the bank, where my son and his friends liked to dig and swim, surrounded by trees and birds, boats floating by. Such beautiful memories are easy to paint, especially if I look at romantic painters and let my work be influenced by Constable, Tai Shan Schierenberg and Peter Doig.
Painted on linen, with neatly painted edges, ready to hang.
