Limited Edition Print
Image measures 60 x 40 cm and has a 4cm border.
All my limited editions are one offs, meaning I will not produce another run of prints of this painting.
Wells Woods was painted after visiting my favourite woodland which lines the beach between Wells and Holkham in North Norfolk.
I was inspired by the web of shadows on the sand on a summer’s day. The atmosphere of the woods is unique as the bright light from the open beach pushes through the trees which are rather wind ravaged and bleached like drift wood.
I used a limited colour palette for the painting using only four colours which I think allows the colours to naturally cohere. This is one of two paintings of the woods that day, the other being brighter, while this painting is softer and muted. The original painting is now sold.
Prints are giclee on satin Hahnemuhle paper and are limited to an edition of 150. Giclee is defined as a high quality reproduction print, truest to the colours of the original painting, using the highest quality ink so it will not fade over time.
Posted rolled in a tube lovingly wrapped in acid free tissue paper, numbered and signed on the back.
