Mixed media on gesso panel
Framed measurements 40 x 50 cm
Whenever was made during an experimental time of exploring the boundaries of perspective. I love to life draw and so enjoyed using my skills while creating these exaggerated figures from my imagination. I think the drawing on this piece is the most successful one I produced in this series; the perspective is pushed beyond reality yet the figure has retained its equilibrium and balance. The layered media on the background gives the painting depth and a sense of age. I decided not to develop the figure further as I wanted to keep the line as the focus of the piece.
Produced with pencil, oil and ink on a homemade gesso panel on wood. Framed in a bespoke charcoal grey wooden floater frame, ready to hang.
