Sea Swallow Me
I am absolutely thrilled to be included in Contemporary British Painting Prize 2023 Longlist! Thank you so much to the selection committee Gordon Dalton, Leslie Bunch, Susan Gunn and Mandy Payne- all painters I greatly admire which is why it means so much.
Keeping it all crossed to reach the shortlist obviously, but even to reach this stage is an accolade I’m proud of.
I have entered 5 paintings of the sea. Within my own work I consider these to be some of the most authentic I have ever made. They truly come from the depths of my soul and while we are all influenced by all the painting we see, these seascapes express my very own sentiments and vision of the North Sea I love.
