Terms and Conditions
I understand buying original art for your home or business is a big commitment and you might have some queries that you would like answering before you take the plunge.
On this Terms and Conditions page I’ve outlined practical issues around buying my work and answered some questions about frames, colours, sizes etc. If there is something you would like to ask which I haven’t covered please use the contact form and I will email you directly.
My website is fully secured for online payment protection. Payment is made via PayPal and if you don’t have a PayPal account you can checkout as a guest and use your credit/debit card in the usual way you do online. Please see below for further details on refunds via PayPal in both of these instances.
All postage is free of charge worldwide.
Your artwork will be posted within 2-3 working days of purchase if in the UK, within 1 week elsewhere.
All work will be fully trackable, insured and you will be sent your tracking number via email.
Framed artwork, paintings on canvas or wood panels will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper, plenty of cushioning and double boxed in strong cardboard to minimise the risk of damage in the post.
Artwork framed with glass- it is recommended glass is removed for posting as glazed artwork cannot be insured for posting and has a high chance of being broken and damaging the artwork. Picture glass can easily be replaced by a framer and is inexpensive- around £20-50 depending on size. Should you buy a glazed artwork I will contact you for your preference. Of course I will do my best carefully packaging a glazed work should you want the glass, but cannot accept responsibility for any damage in this case.
Unmounted and unframed works on paper, including prints, will be lovingly wrapped in acid free tissue paper and carefully rolled in a tube. Please contact me if you would prefer them posted flat.
The safe delivery of artwork is largely due to the quality of the packaging. My experience of sending work through the post in my previous role as a gallery manager is invaluable in this area and I am fastidious about substantial, strong packaging, plenty of cushioning and double boxing artwork ( a box packed within a box ) for ultimate protection.
However sometimes damage still occurs in the post. Please contact me in this instance. In the event of damage occurring in the post I will pay for your return postage with no question. Please use the original packaging.
For very large work delivery in the UK will be made by specialist courier, and packed in a crate for international delivery.
I take great care to publish good clear photos of each artwork, with some detail photos, if you would like to see more please get in touch and I will email them to you directly. I make every effort to show the colours true to the artwork itself, however your monitor/laptop/phone/tablet may show the colours slightly differently from mine. This is unavoidable.
If you would like further photos of an artwork please ask and I will happily email them to you.
Frames and unframed work
Any work listed as framed can be bought unframed on request and I will discount works accordingly. I understand the frames I have used might not be to your taste so please just ask me via the contact form and I’ll be happy to help you with your questions, requests or concerns.
I have all my work professionally framed and they are ready to hang.
View the Statutory Returns Policy for online sales which is the legal requirement for all online sales.
A full no quibble refund will be offered to customers within 14 days of receiving your artwork should you decide it is not for you. You will then have another 14 days to return the goods to me. Please contact me for a return address and use the original packaging in the event of a return to minimise the risk of damage. Thank you.
I will refund you of the full cost and original postage cost within 14 days of receiving the returned artwork in the condition it was sent.
If you paid using a credit card without logging in to a PayPal account (in other words, if you used PayPal Guest Checkout), the refund will go back to your credit or debit card. It can take up to 30 days for the refund to show up on your card statement.
If you paid by logging into Paypal the refund will go straight back into your Paypal account.
If I am away I will post a notice on my shop page with my return date.
Orders can still be placed during this time and will be posted within 4-5 working days of my return.
If you should require to return an artwork during away mode please email me and I will arrange the return as soon as I am back and the 14 days limit will not apply in this case.
