Twins is an image of dual tornadoes which was taken from a video made by a storm chaser in Iowa March 2022 and posted to twitter. I wanted to capture this rare event in a drawing as the phenomenon swept across the land leaving destruction in their wake, eventually stopping the storm chaser with debris on the road he was travelling on.
The drawing is on Arches cold pressed watercolour paper 300gsm and is securely fixed with several layers of fixative to minimise smudging.
