Caen Meadow

Caen Meadow is a place near my home which holds many poignant memories and I have painted the area several times. The river Bure runs there and here I have painted a wild swim at sunset where the trees and reflections were simplified by the waning light.
I used a limited palette of four colours in a loose style on canvas, framed in an off white wooden floater frame.
