Description
Unfurling Green Rainbows II
Diluted oil is utilised to represent the complicated undulations of moving water. Painted with greens, as the North Sea is very green with its silty nature and that is where I swim. I have allowed the swirling water to expand into fantastical curls and sweeps as I navigate across the surface, ever changing, so familiar. A passing ship tethers the image to the reality of our relationship to the sea.
Painted on a braced wood panel, with clean, natural wood edges, ready to hang.
