2025
Painted after an extensive exploration of Staverton Park in Suffolk UK, and the adjoining thicks. I revisited early in the morning one day, and the low autumn sunrise gave me a halo while I stood making a sketch. These moments are the ones to paint, to record my connection with nature.
The painting was exhibited at The Minories Gallery in Colchester, in 2026, as part of a project by The Arborealists, an artist group whose subject matter concentrates on trees.
Painted in oil on a deep edged, braced wood panel, ready to hang. Edges are clean, bare wood.
