Paradise Path I

Painted during lockdown 2020, this passageway leads to my house. Walking there regularly for my daily exercise made me look at it in a new light- the different times of day, different seasons, shadows and colours all inspired me to paint. I have made several artworks around the subject of this pathway.
It is a beautiful tree tunnel to begin with and then it runs alongside a wood where it gets dark and damp, and then it opens up onto a field.This painting was painted at the top of the passageway looking towards the dark part by the woods. Rich dark silhouetted leaves hang overhead, a shadowy figure approaches.
Framed in a white floater frame, ready to hang.
