Small framed original drawing, a study of the sea made from my own photos taken while swimming. I made several studies in order to practice capturing the facets and undulations of the waves before going on to paint. By making several drawings I learned how to make the marks and manipulate the charcoal using linear marks and tonal values.
Professionally framed in dark grey aluminium with an off white mount.
Drawing without frame measures 29.5 x 21cm.
