Oil painting on wood of an imagined seascape, with serpents underneath the surface. The painting embodies themes of the unknown realm; both in physical and metaphysical forms. Serpents have long been associated with death, mystery, resilience and the transformative power of nature. A faint blur of an oil rig sits on the horizon, a dose of reality from my visits to the North Sea.
Wood panel is braced at the back giving it a depth of 2cm. It can be framed by me for £65 or left as it is. Contact me for framing enquiries. Edges are clean, natural wood.
