My interest in ships began when growing up in Gt. Yarmouth, where enormous ships docked in the River Yare would fill the sky.
More recently I have been painting them lining the horizon, in my seascapes. Now I read that maybe some of these ships I have depicted could be from the shadow fleet- illegal tankers of Russian oil. Lately some of these are being abandoned and set alight, and I have painted some of the images from the news about these occurrences.
Painted in variations of ultramarine, on a wood panel.
